Behold

Easy Instagram feeds for busy devs

Added by Griffin Johnston 4 years ago

About the product

No server code. No API Keys. Just a feed of posts as JSON.

Facebook has made it a lot harder to fetch a simple feed of Instagram posts with their API. Especially for static/JAMstack sites. Behold takes care of all the annoying stuff so you can get building.

Other services offer rigid pre-built widgets that come with a bunch of css and JS and are a hassle to customize or integrate with a modern front-end stack. Behold is built for devs, and gives you direct access to the posts, so you can make what you want with them.

I don't use instagram myself but about... maybe 6 years ago I was doing a web site for a musician and he wanted his instagram feed incorporated. I thought it would be fine but it was a total pain in the ass.

Wish this existed then! Seems like a great product solving a real problem,

I know it's a problem for me at the very least! Hopefully there are a few other folks that need it too.

Sounds like a great solution to a common problem. I gotta call out the nice web design... very slick with the subtle animations.

Thank you for the kind words Tavis! I've been designing and building websites for a whole lotta years — it better look good at this point.

Really neat idea.. I've needed this before too!

Thanks! Awesome to hear that. If you ever need it again I hope you'll give this a try! On an unrelated note: we share a first name. I've always gone by my middle name Griffin, but I'm really a Rufus, and there aren't a whole lot of us out there!
